Henry Tudor House in Shrewsbury is a fantastic venue for live music. The owner, Graham Jenkins, regularly books gigs from a broad selection of genres. The majority of acts are, primarily, acoustic based, but always of a high standard and this evening's gig was no exception.

Some of our more-senior followers, and friends, will recognise the name of Geno Washington. For those that don't, check out his wiki page. To put it simply; he's a bit of a legend. So when we were booked for this gig we were excited to get the opportunity to work with him.

We really love the fact that working in our industry gives us opprtunities to meet some famous people. Musicians we see more than anything else, but from time to time we do meet "celebrities" from other walks of life. Well Saturday gone was one of those opportunities.

Graffiti Classics - Shrewsbury School

An evening with 16 strings, 8 dancing feet and 4 voices, courtesy of the excellent Graffiti Classics. These guys are a string quartet hell bent on making you laugh. Their performance went down a storm at "Lara's Ball" at Shrewsbury School this evening.

HTH Live - Robin Nolan Trio

This Sunday evening saw another packed Henry Tudor House crowd being entertained by a quality musical performance. This evening's music was provided by world renowned gypsy jazz guitarist Robin Nolan accompanied by Arnoud Van Den Berg on double bass and Shrewsbury’s very own Chris Quinn on rhythm guitar. Amazing, foot tapping music kept the crowd buzzing from start to finish.

HTH Live - Jennifer Crook

Another fantastic evening of live music at the excellent Henry Tudor House. This evening's performance was from Jennifer Crook, accompanied by cellist Beth Porter (Eliza Carthy/Newton Faulkner) and multi-instrumentalist Mike Cosgrave (Jackie Oates/Jackie Leven). The packed crowd were entertained from start to finish with music from her new album and her back catalogue.
